Michael's is sort of the Walmart of craft stores. It's larger than most, bu tit's so generalized that it's hard to find anything much for any one particular thing. It's got a little of this and a little of that. Which makes it great for beginners, but if you get really serious about any particular craft, you'll be hard pressed to find everything you could possibly need for most crafts (at which point it is usually better to shop at a smaller, specialized store, or shop online for what you need). Michael's doesn't have everything, despite being a huge craft store ... especially with a specific trade like jewelry making. They do have some affordable wire wrapping supplies however, so this is where I come when I need to just swing by and re-stock on the simple stuff. I love making various crafts, especially around the holiday time. I often need special colors for my embroidery and needlepoint projects, and I can always find what I need at Michael's.

I can spend hours upon hours wandering around Michael's. They have so many things available, and when I browse I am always inspired with future crafts plans. I can't speak highly enough of this store, it is a crafter's paradise. Share Your Review
