I received so many recommendations for these movers I couldn't believe it. Every time I mentioned to someone we were moving across town, I swear they mentioned Men on the Move. They had a ton of reviews online, so we went with them after shopping around a bit. They really were every bit as fast--and careful!--as advertised, much more professional than a lot of other movers we used in the past. So now I will add my recommendation to the list.

The job was done satisfactorily. Pickup in NY and delivered to Fl. Except for a box they obviously used as a step and destroyed a $140 toaster oven that with all the insurance they graciously gave me $40. They also ripped two holes in the front door screen, which they gave me $60. That's the extent of the damage.
My problem is that their salesman Dimitry Iskhakov, viewed all of my contents and prepared a contract for $4,300. Yes, the final amount is determined by weight. When they delivered they handed me a bill for $6,300. Pay first or no delivery. I thought I would pay less than the major movers because I knew Men on the Move would delay delivery to fill one truck. I also knew they were going to move my goods from the pickup truck to a warehouse until they had enough to fill a long haul truck with multiple customers goods.
Actual delivery was over three weeks; I was told it would likely be 10 days but less than two weeks.
Dimitry would have known the day after pickup how much my job was going to cost. He never contacted me for the heads up. When my goods arrived and I saw the bill the driver called his office in NY so I could speak to Ron, whoever he is. Manager, dispatcher, bathroom attendant. I wouldn't know since I tried calling Ron three times during the move and he couldn't be bothered to talk to me or he wasn't done cleaning the toilets yet. This makes sense, because I have such a bad taste in my mouth from using this company.
I had proposals from two major movers. Both gave me a price close to $6,000. One of them guaranteed that the price would not exceed the proposal and could be less depending on the weight. What a concept, an honest mover.
Take my experience for what it is worth to you. Men on the Move may or may not be a good company but Dimitry was NOT honest on his estimate or he is incompetent in his ability to determine a proper cost. It is certainly possible the people who run Men on the Move want Dimitry to write proposals that are woefully less than the actual cost.
I have no complaint about the people who picked up or delivered other than using a box as a step.

Men on the Move helped me get my stuff out of storage and across the island to my new home. I was initially leery about hiring movers since I remembered moving as a child and the movers breaking some of my stuff. That didn't happen this time. All was well.

This company has an amazing reputation online, and all I can say is that they've earned it. I monitored them very closely while they were packing my stuff and putting it in the van and it was obvious to me that they really put a lot of attention into making sure that everything was going to arrive in one piece, which it did. I never thought I'd be happy with a moving service, but count me pleasantly surprised!

Men on the Move has been extremely helpful with all my storing and house moving needs. I regularly call them since my spouse has this knack of putting things here and there in the house and exchanging positions every now and then. Men and the Move is very patient and cost effective and I am surprised with the dexterity they have in running their business. What is surprising is that they always have time for you and your whims. I’m happy with them and shall continue using their services as long as they are in business.

Men on the Move is a fabulous service! I’ve been relocating my house for quite some time and we’ve constantly needed their help and expertise. In all the months that they served us, we have had no complaints whatsoever.
Picture this: One call from us, and they’re there in an hour or two inspecting our baggage and furnishing that needs to be moved. They estimate the exact number of stowing vehicles and provide us a reasonable quote. We say – yes! And they take care of all the packaging, loading, transport, and unloading, with no help from our side at all. That is exactly how easy they are to work with!
Breakages? None! Overhauls? None! Scratches? None at all! We’re no doubt, in love with Men on the Move!

Moving can be a hassle especially if you have a family who tries to help but really just gets in the way. Moving from Main to Mineola wasn't going to be easy I thought to myself. Well that couldn't be further from the truth.
Men On The Move Moving & Storage, made our move one of the easiest I've ever had the pleasure of. They handled our belongings with care, and respect. The worked long and hard all day to get our stuff loaded.
They got to our new home before we did, and since my mother was there to greet them they were just about unloaded when we finally arrived.
Very professional, quick, respectful and reasonably priced. We would use Men On The Move Moving & Storage again if the need arouse.

Impeccable service is what I received from Men on the Move, and I am thankful I chose this company to help me move from Long Island to Queens.
When I called Men on the Move I was greeted by a friendly voice who quickly gave me prices for my move. I compared them, finding that Men on the Move gave me more for less than the other guys. You can't go wrong with that kind of deal!
The movers arrived ahead of schedule, ready to work. I kept a close eye on them, my prized possessions in their hands, and could not believe how carefully they moved my items.
They always kept me informed of what was going on and asked questions instead of just assuming something. My move was complete ahead of schedule, and these guys called me back twice after the move to ensure that everything was okay.
Thanks to Men on the Move I can say my move was as good as it gets. This is the company I will use from now on when I need quality movers at an affordable price.

I contracted with Men on the Move when I moved from Brooklyn. They packed up all my stuff for me as I didn't have time to do it myself, so they provided the boxes and packing services. I was worried that I might have things broken or missing, but when I unpacked nothing was missing and nothing was broken. I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon, but if I do Men on the Move will be moving me and my stuff again.

I hired Men on the Move to help me get from my previous home in Queens to a quieter location near Mineola on Long Island. I was doubtful about hiring movers, but I have so much stuff and it would have been a real pain to try and do it all myself. In the past I've hired movers who ended up losing, breaking and/or stealing my stuff. There was nothing missing after this move, thank goodness, and everything was in one piece. Men on the Move did a great job helping me keep my life intact as I transported it to Long Island. Moving is such a hassle, but it was far less of one since I went with these guys. Thanks again!
