What a fantastic place this is. I used to eat at their Melville location, but started coming here when my office relocated. The food and service here is just as good. In the afternoons it is something of a local hangout, and it can get very busy, but they still manage to get me out the door in time to get back to work. Not only is this the best pizza joint in Plainview, but arguably the whole of Nassau County. I'm serious. They also have locations in Merrick and Melville I'm told, though I haven't been to either. There are a lot of people who don't like to eat in here because it is a major hang-out spot and it can be pretty loud, but that's the exact reason I do enjoy eating in (if you prefer not to, they have great takeout service). My friends and I used to come in here about once a week after school when we were in high school. We had to walk all the way, but it was so worth it. It gave us something to look forward to on Friday afternoons.

Sadly those days are gone, and with them, that group of friends, but the couple of friends I still have around in the area are always glad to go there for a bite to remember the good old days now and again. Sometimes we can get a bit loud, but nobody seems to mind. The waiters here know us all by name, and some of them even remember when we were still in high school. They know exactly what we like to order. I love La Piazza. They really are a special place--there is a lot that sets them apart from other pizza restaurants in the area.
