I came here to buy an external hard drive, and I needed it in a hurry. I couldn't find anything in my price range, which was ridiculous, because I know that there are less expensive models out there. I didn't have time to wait for shipping, and I really wanted to look at what I was buying. I didn't find what I needed, and nobody was able to help me. I absolutely hate Best Buy! Honestly one of the worst retail chains in the country. It's like they go out of their way to make this place useless. You can't find anything, and the stuff that's on display isn't even usually the stuff they have in stock. Seriously, it is so much easier to shop for technology online. I come in here sometimes because now and again, one of my relatives (who works at a Best Buy on the sales floor) sends me gift certificates for the holidays or for my birthday. I am giving Best Buy two stars because I got some CD-Rs here and a pretty decent wireless mouse which has lasted several years without any difficulties. The reason for taking off the other three stars? Terrible service for starters. Misleading product displays for another. As someone else said, they put something on the sales floor, only to tell you that they don't have it in stock, and they won't sell you the model that's on the floor, because they're using that to lure people in. The third reason? I just think they they're worthless. I really hate going in. It's such a hassle trying to find anything. It's terribly organized. Whatever. Best Buy is a nightmare wherever I go. They seem to make a point of putting items on display which aren't in stock, and then trying to sell you on the next item up at a higher price. This is obviously very deliberate. It's also extremely annoying and it misrepresents their product line. I don't like to be pressured into buying something I can't afford and made to waste my time.
