Restaurants Reopening: Bell & Anchor and Om Bistro

Wendy L Wednesday, January 23, 2013

The restaurant business doesn’t come easy. The challenges are even larger when it has to face damage as a result of Mother Nature that leaves it to close its door temporarily. So, whenever there are restaurants reopening, it’s nice news. They usually try to come back stronger than before.

This week we highlight two restaurants reopening on Long Island worthy of visiting for its tasteful dishes.

The Bell & Anchor at 3253 Noyac Road in Sag Harbor (631) 725-3400 reopened just this past week. The restaurant had been on winter break. For the New Year, it’s coming out strong. The waterfront restaurant offers a surf-centric menu with local ingredients. Its brunch menu includes selections such as Smoked Salmon, Steak & Eggs and Lobster Benedict. Its dinner menu includes selections such as Wasabi Crusted Yellow Fin Tuna, Pan-Seared Scottish Salmon and Grilled Sirloin Burger.

Om Bistro at 4 Welwyn Road in Great Neck (516) 487-1070 was formerly the home of Tulip Bar and Grill. After closing from water damage, it has now reopened with the new name of Om Bistro. Om Bistro is offering a new dining style and menu. It’s come out as a French restaurant for fine dining. The kitchen is headed by Chef Richard Desmond. Some of its dishes include Chicken Confit Ravioli and Mac and Cheese. It also offers drink specials daily.

Check out what these two restaurants have to offer with its reopening!

Come back each week for new features on entertainment, shopping and dining opportunities on Long Island.
