Daniel Gale Tent Sale Supports Wounded Vets

John Mitty Thursday, September 13, 2012

Cold Spring Harbor, NY (September 13, 2012) – The Huntington, Cold Spring Harbor and Northport offices of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty (DGSIR), one of the nation’s leading Realtors, will be hosting a tent and bake sale on Saturday, September 22nd from 9AM to 4PM to raise money for “Homes For Our Troops.”  The rain date is Sunday, September 23rd.  The tent sale will be held on the grounds of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Huntington office at 187 Park Avenue in Huntington.

This is not the first time that the Daniel Gale Sotheby’s organization has banded together as a group to support a worthy cause, explains DGSIR President and CEO Patricia Petersen.  “For years our offices have banded together to contribute to local and national organizations.  As New Yorkers, we are particularly attuned to the aftermath of September 11, 2001 and its effect on our neighbors, our first responders and our troops.  We want to thank those who put their lives on the line for us. This tent sale allows us to roll up our collective sleeves to pitch in and help our veterans in a meaningful way.”

The Daniel Gale Sotheby’s team is accepting donations from the community at the Huntington office during regular business hours beginning Monday, September 17.  Exceptions include books (except for coffee table and children’s books), clothing, VHS tapes, CDs, DVDs and items that are too large to fit in an SUV.  For more information contact Daniel Gale Sotheby’s at 631-427-6600.

Daniel Gale Sotheby’s sales associates and offices regularly participate in community activities from the Huntington Fall Fair to Northport’s Cow Harbor Day, as well as many other outreach efforts to assist those in need and the organizations that support them.  For the Homes for Our Troops Tent Sale, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s agents, management and staff will be volunteering their time and collecting and donating items to be sold.
